M/J Architects is an Italian architects studio, young, but expert in proposing elegant, quality solutions. They needed a website that reflected their projects in a genuine and clean way. I proposed a design that follows current trends, but added a creative twist on the landing page to draw the attention of customers who look for outstanding architects.
After a careful study of the market competitors, I planned the information architecture and content strategy along with the clients expectations. To align my ideas with the clients expectations, I created several mockups inspired by shapes so characteristic for the studio's hometown - Vicenza. Since the site’s focus should be on the projects, I decided the typography to become the main composition element along with the current web-design trends.
The final version of the M/J Architects website is a curated exhibition of all their projects. The opening page and the menu are characterised by shapes that recall arcades of Renaissance architecture. The project page is simple and minimalistic in order to give the customer maximum clarity and transparence while enjoying the story of the project.
